The New Directions Group, Inc. specializes in consulting, forming captive insurance companies,
particularly for groups. New Directions has never had a captive that it formed fail. The issues
that are contained in forming and operating a group or agency captive insurance company are very
complex. Of particular significance are the following areas:

The New Directions Group addresses all of these during the formation of the program and then
remains involved to provide on-going support to its clients. We provide auditing services for

In addition, New Directions provides loss control services to the programs it structures. We
can design custom programs that fit the needs of the particular group or entity that will enhance
results.
As president of The New Directions Group, Inc. I have been active in the captive insurance
arena for 33 years. As the First Vice President of the largest group captive in existence with
assets of more than $3 billion, I gained knowledge of all area of captive insurance company
operation. During my career I have worked with many group captives and learned that each has its
own personality and unique characteristics.
Once a captive is formed I have learned that they are confronted with many issues that arise
particularly in the early years. This is the reason that New Directions remains involved with the
captive at least until it is stable and settled in its operations.
New Direction's role is to make sure that everyone involved has a good opportunity to benefit
from the program being structured. The foundation New Directions lays to achieve its goal is
sensitivity to the needs of all parties to the program. This will ensure that the program will
continue for many years. We do not promote short-term solutions--only long-term relationships.
It is through this philosophy that everyone benefits and the recovery of costs associated with
structuring the program and making it run well is assured. We recognize the dependency upon
